1. Who you are dealing with

Soft Signal is provided by Veianya Hansen ("we", "us", "Soft Signal"). By using Soft Signal, you are entering into an agreement with Veianya Hansen. You can reach us through the contact details shown on this website.

2. Accepting these terms

By creating a family link, sending a signal, or otherwise using Soft Signal, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the service. You confirm you are of legal age to enter this agreement, or that you have permission from a parent or guardian, and that any information you give us is accurate.

3. What Soft Signal is

Soft Signal is a simple communication tool. It lets someone share how they are doing and what support they would like with the people they choose. It is not a medical device, a diagnostic tool, a therapy service, or an emergency service. Nothing in Soft Signal is medical or professional advice. If you or someone in your family is in crisis, contact your local emergency services.

4. Your family link

Your family link is private and hard to guess, but anyone who has it can send a signal to your family. Please share it only with people you trust, and keep it out of public places. You are responsible for what happens through your family link.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Soft Signal to:

• break the law, or help anyone else do so;
• send spam, harass, threaten, deceive, or impersonate another person;
• infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
• interfere with the security of the service, including probing, scraping, introducing malware, or trying to get around technical limits;
• reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the service.

6. Our intellectual property

We own Soft Signal and everything in it, including the software, wording, design, and branding. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your own family. Anything you write in a signal stays yours; you give us permission to store and deliver it only so we can run the service for you.

7. Availability

We work to keep Soft Signal running well, but we cannot promise it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error free. Emails may be delayed or blocked by systems outside our control. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Payment, billing and tax

Soft Signal is free for the first three signals per family. Unlimited signals can be unlocked with a single one-time payment of $9.99 USD for that family.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are covered by Paddle's Buyer Terms, together with our Refund Policy.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end access to Soft Signal if there is a material breach of these terms, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious misuse. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first. If access ends, we will delete or anonymise your family data within a reasonable period.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special losses, including lost profits, lost data or lost goodwill. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to cover us for claims arising from content you send through Soft Signal, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Soft Signal grows. If a change is significant, we will note it on this page. Continuing to use the service means you accept the updated terms.

13. Other details

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, and disputes will be heard by the courts there. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours in a merger or sale of the business. Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control.
